Other Events.

On August 7, 2008, Employers Holdings, Inc. (the "Company") announced that its Board of Directors approved a quarterly dividend on its common stock of $0.06 per share.  The dividend is payable on September 4, 2008 to shareholders of record as of August 21, 2008.  Attached as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference is the press release issued by the Company.

Employers Holdings, Inc. Announces Dividend

Reno, Nevada—August 7, 2008—Employers Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:EIG) today announced that its Board of Directors has declared a cash dividend of six cents ($0.06) per share of common stock.  The dividend is payable on September 4, 2008 to stockholders of record as of August 21, 2008.
