RENO, Nev.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mar. 24, 2014-- Nevada’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (NCET) has recognized EMPLOYERS^® (NYSE:EIG), America’s small business insurance specialist^®, as its Software Company of the Year.

EMPLOYERS’ senior vice president and chief information officer Richard Hallman will accept the award from Lt. Governor Brian Krolicki at the 2014 NCET Awards Dinner at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa on March 27. The awards recognize Greater Reno-Tahoe’s top technology companies and entrepreneurs. Last year, EMPLOYERS was inducted into NCET’s Technology Hall of Fame.

Incorporating the latest web-based and mobile technologies, including AgencyPortal™ software and Oracle WebCenter, EACCESS expedites processes for time-starved insurance agents, along with their customers and prospects. It does this by providing a fully customizable dashboard, claims information, loss run reports, access to marketing materials and a streamlined quoting system. All of these systems are now centralized in a cloud-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, which enables agents to access the information they need from anywhere on a mobile device.

The EACCESS initiative touched every department within EMPLOYERS and directly involved more than 200 of the company’s 700+ employees. More than a technology roll-out, it became a major driver of new collaborations and internal partnerships that have bolstered EMPLOYERS’ organizational culture.
