Small Business Workers' Compensation Insurance Experts at EMPLOYERS(R) to be Joined by New Vice President Mort Large
RENO, Nev., March 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- EMPLOYERS(R) (NYSE: EIG) today announced the appointment of Morton Large as vice president of underwriting operations for Strategic Markets. Through its subsidiaries, EMPLOYERS meets the workers' compensation insurance needs of small businesses with low to medium risks. Through its Strategic Markets unit, EMPLOYERS partners with other industries, such as payroll services and health insurers, to integrate workers' compensation with other small business insurance products.
Prior to joining EMPLOYERS, Large held a number of executive positions during eight years with The Hartford, and most recently served as Indianapolis Branch Manager for all property and casualty lines. Large also served in commercial lines underwriting and management roles during nearly 10 years with the St. Paul Companies.

Large will be based in the Glendale, Calif., Branch Office of EMPLOYERS, one of 13 locations of the Reno, Nev.-based workers' compensation insurance organization. He will report directly to Strategic Markets President David Quezada. Large, who grew up near Glendale, recently relocated with his family from Indianapolis, Ind. to southern California.
He holds an MBA from Indiana University, a B.S. from Drake University, and the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation.
