Workers' Compensation Program to Eight Additional States
RENO, Nev., Oct 03, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) --
The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) today announced it has extended discounted workers' compensation coverage benefits to its members in Colorado, Maryland, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Kansas, Arkansas and New Mexico through EMPLOYERS(R), America's small business insurance specialist(R).
Based on the latest expansion, EMPLOYERS offers NFIB members discounted workers' compensation coverage in 27 states around the country. NFIB named EMPLOYERS its provider of choice in these states due to the carrier's focus and expertise as a specialty writer of workers' compensation insurance for small businesses.
Qualifying NFIB members are eligible to receive a 5 percent discount on workers' compensation insurance policies with EMPLOYERS, in addition to other discounts offered by EMPLOYERS. Members can access this valuable benefit through EMPLOYERS-appointed independent agencies.
"In a time when many small businesses continue to face a challenging economy, we're pleased to offer our members access to discounted workers' compensation insurance and services from EMPLOYERS," said Mark Garzone, senior vice president of marketing, NFIB. "With services tailored to the needs of small businesses, EMPLOYERS has a proven track record of providing cost-effective workers' compensation coverage. A strategic approach to risk management and cost controls is smart business in any economy, and we are confident our current and future small business members will benefit from this relationship."
"Though the economy remains fragile, taking a strategic approach to risk management and actively managing costs is smart business no matter what the state of the economy," said David Quezada, senior vice president, general manager of strategic partnerships and alliances, EMPLOYERS. "Like the NFIB, EMPLOYERS is dedicated to serving America's small businesses, making our partnership a great fit. Small businesses play a critical role as innovators and job creators, and we're pleased to extend this offering to NFIB members in eight additional states."
